Webinar Description

Rose DK, Nadeau SE, Wu SS, Tilson JK, Dobkin BH, Pei Q, Duncan PW (2017). Locomotor Training and Strength and Balance Exercises for Walking Recovery After Stroke: Response to Number of Training Sessions, Physical Therapy, 97(11):1 1066–1074. This secondary analysis of the Locomotor Experience Applied Post-Stroke (LEAPS) randomized controlled trial examines the response to increasing number of training sessions of 2 interventions (locomotor training and strength and balance exercises-on poststroke walking recovery.). The authors found no plateau in walking improvement across 36 sessions, but did find diminishing rate of gains from 25-36 sessions.
