Back On Track: Implementation of a multi-system approach to re-start developmental progress in a young child with DS post remission from Leukemia: A Case Report. Children diagnosed with Down Syndrome are expected to achieve developmental milestones at delayed intervals with trajectories that are well documented in the literature. However, when a young child with DS is then diagnosed with and treated for leukemia, the developmental expectations are more ambiguous. In this case study we will discuss a 5.8-year-old girl diagnosed with DS and post remission for leukemia whose developmental progress was stalled before the age of 2, but is now back on track at the age of 5 following the implementation of a multi-system approach.
