Ideas for a Parkinson's Patient: How to utilize different methods to help those who have issues from Parkinsons Darren Joffs draws upon the spirit of Joseph Pilates to demonstrate techniques for treating a 74 year old female patient diagnosed with Parkinson's and a broken hip. Joffs looks at improving both the patient’s mental health and her ability to balance. By utilizing moderate offload on a LiteGait, the patient is able to safely and painlessly use treadmill training to improve her gait. The presenter also highlights the benefits of Pilates Reformers and Pilates principles for Parkinson's patients.
