      Orthopedic hip pain - Goal: “walk better, farther,” “less pain.” Nechama Karman demonstrates the use of the LiteGait suspension system in allowing an adult male orthopedic patient to rise above his right hip pain. The patient’s history revealed that he had a left total hip replacement 18 months previous, followed by the onset of a seizure disorder, and he was dependent on a walker and wheelchair for ambulation. The initial patient assessment found that he had hip flexion contracture/extension restrictions, a postural mal-alignment, and a shuffling gait pattern. Nechama uses partial body weight supported treadmill training on the LiteGait to offload the right side of the patient and manage his pain during treatment.
