Monika K. Patel, DPT currently works as a Physical Therapist at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She has been a therapist at this facility for about 5 years. Monika graduated from Washington University Program in Physical Therapy in St. Louis in May 2005.Her previous experiences using the LiteGait consist of learning about partial body weight support and hands-on with the LiteGait during PT school at the Rehab Institute of St. Louis. She has used the LiteGait several times during previous clinical rotations. Currently, she uses the LiteGait within the inpatient rehab setting at Illinois Masonic Hospital. This includes patients with CVA, SCI, TBI, MS, Parkinson's, deconditioning, amputee, and other trauma. She gained additional information on the use of LiteGait and other bodyweight support systems through clinical education courses such as the “Annual Interdisciplinary Stroke Course" and “Body Weight Supported Treadmill Training for Patients with SCI or Stroke."
