2. Installing the Replacement Caster
For detailed instructions, click on this guide:
A. Lock the Caster
-
-
Engage the directional lock so the new caster is in the “locked” position
-
B. Align the Caster
-
-
Orient the caster frame so it is properly aligned with the device frame/leg.
-
C. Secure the Mounting Bolt
-
-
Hold the caster in the aligned position and tighten the single mounting bolt that secures the caster to the leg.
-
Use a pipe or extension over the wrench to apply extra leverage and ensure the bolt is extremely tight.
-
If the caster rotates while tightening, back it off, re-align, and continue tightening. This may require some back-and-forth adjustment to achieve both tightness and correct alignment.
-
D. Verify Lock Function
-
-
Test the device by moving it over ground while the caster is locked.
- Confirm the directional tab stays engaged and does not pop up or disengage on its own.
-
