Smart Power System Motor Wiring Diagnostic Guide
The Smart Power System connects to the LiteGait actuator via a black, five‑pin female plug called an actuator cable connector. A loose connector or internal wiring fault will disable the movement of the upper and lower columns, and the control box LED will display a solid red light indicating to “Contact Support.”
Symptoms:
-
Control box LED displays red color code, indicating to CONTACT SUPPORT.
-
Top column does not move and pressing the hand-switch single down arrow button does not move either column.
- Top column does not move and pressing the hand-switch single down button only moves the lower column.
- Lower column does not move and pressing the hand-switch single arrow up button does not move either column.
Step-By-Step Troubleshooting
Check for a loose connection between the motor and actuator cable connector
-
-
The connector is located on the back side of the unit

- Remove the magnetic cover to find the connector

- Reseat the connector
-
If the control red light disappears, test the equipment to confirm functionality
- Do both columns move now?
-
If the red light does not disappear and the issues persists, move on to the next steps

Check the connector’s internal wiring for faulty connections
-
-
Open the connector by removing the two Phillip screws that secure the housing

-
-
-
When the housing top cover is removed, the internal wiring and the set screws that secure the wiring should be visible
-

-
-
If a loose wire is identified:
-
use a small flathead screwdriver to loosen the set screw for the affected wire
-
push the wire further into its slot
-
once the wire is adjusted, tighten the set screw to secure the wire
