Q-Pads Draining Batteries Quickly

Q-Pads Batteries have a 2-3 month service life with regular use

Symptoms:

  • Q-Pads are draining faster than expected

  • Q-Pads will not power on after storing

  • Batteries have been replaced, still draining fast

Step-By-Step Troubleshooting

Buttons or sensors being pressed while in storage may prevent the unit from entering sleep mode and cause it to remain “awake.”

    • Avoid stacking anything on the Q-Pads while in storage. Additional weight may accidentally activate the sensors or buttons.

    • For long term storage, remove the (4) AAA batteries to prevent unintentional draining or leakage.

Set the Q-Pad function/mode to Random before storing

    • Setting the Q-Pads to Random mode before storage allows them to remain idle and automatically power off after approximately 10 minutes.

      • If the Q-Pads are stored in any mode other than Random, they may remain active and deplete the batteries.

Replace batteries and record installation dates

    • Q-Pads Batteries have a 2-3 month service life with regular use

    • Insert a new set of AAA batteries. Note the installation date.
