How do I replace the E-Stop plate assembly for LG200 & 300 series?

If the LiteGait E-Stop button is damaged and needs to be replaced, the instructions in this article should provide enough information for repair and wiring.

1. Remove the battery from the LiteGait.

It’s crucial to remove the battery from the unit to ensure a safe work environment.

2. Loosen the screw that secures the E-Stop button plate assembly.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw shown below and remove the E-Stop button plate assembly.

3. Pull the E-Stop plate assembly off the base to expose the bottom part of the button and the wiring.

The E-Stop button is wired into the rest of the power system. Be cautious when lifting the plate from the LiteGait, as the wires will still be connected.

4. Disconnect the two E-Stop button wires from the battery plug wires, then remove the  E-Stop assembly.

    • The picture below illustrates how the E-Stop button is wired to the control box and battery plug, and where to disconnect the spade connectors.

3. Replace the E-Stop plate assembly.

    • Confirm that the wiring is assembled correctly during installation.
      • Button: RED cable (female spade) ➡️⬅️ Battery plug: RED cable (male spade)
      • Button: BLACK cable (sometimes RED)(male spade) ➡️⬅️ Control box: YELLOW cable (female spade)
    • Thoroughly inspect all connections to ensure that the spade connectors and E-Stop button are securely fastened, and that there are no damages to the wiring.
