GKMini Preventive Maintenance

Care & Maintenance

It is important to perform the minor maintenance tasks described in this section. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, always unplug the unit from its power source before cleaning or performing any maintenance tasks.

Preventative Maintenance:

  1. Inspect walking surface upon each use for wear and tear, and soiled surface.
  2. Lubricate the walking belt annually
  3. Adjust belt tension only if required.

Lubricating Belt

  1. Loosen the walking belt by inserting the provided Allen Wrench in the two slots at the rear of the treadmill and turn in a counterclockwise direction
  2. Lift the side of the belt, push your hand under the belt and apply 100% silicone lubricant from the center all the way to both edges.
  3. Tighten the walking belt by turning the Allen wrench in the clockwise direction. Walk on the belt slowly to spread lubricant.
  4. Follow instructions below to adjust the walking belt as needed.

Adjustment of Walking Surface Belt tension/Alignment.

The walking belt may require minor adjustment as a result from shipping or extended use.

To adjust the tension/alignment of the walking surface belt:

  1. Insert the provided Allen key (previous versions use a Phillips head screwdriver) and tighten/loosen the belt alignment screws on the front face of the walking surface as shown in pictures below.
  2. To increase/decrease belt tension tighten/loosen both alignment screws evenly.
  3. To adjust belt alignment, tighten/loosen the adjustment screw to cause the belt to move away from/towards the screw. Tightening the screws causes the belt to move away from the screw. Loosening causes the belt to move towards the screw.
  4. After adjusting the alignment screws, start the walking surface belt at a low speed to allow for correction of the belt.
  5. Confirm belt tension and tighten to the point that at 0.1 mph (0.2 kph) you can hold the rear roller and stop the belt from moving. At that point, the front roller should stop, the internal pulleys stop, and the motor shut off.  If it does this, then retest walking performance.
  6. If the belt slips during use after adjusting the walking belt, please contact Mobility Research for assistance.
Cleaning"

MOBILITY RESEARCH recommends the walking surface be cleaned before and after each workout. Use mild soap and water to dampen a soft cloth and wipe all exposed surfaces. This helps remove any dust or dirt.

CAUTION:
Do not use any acidic cleaners. Doing so will weaken the paint or powder coatings and may void the Warranty. Never pour water or spray liquids on any part of the device. Allow the walking surface to dry completely before using. Frequently vacuum the floor underneath the unit to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt, which can affect the smooth operation of the unit.
